About the Team: The Navitaire Digital API team does not have a dedicated Software Quality Assurance Engineer that assures the quality of the APIs. Currently there are around 5800 Integration Tests and at least 400 of these tests are partially automated (tests with steps done manually, an example of which is creating a reservation with a set of special criteria not covered by the current API’s using the NewSkies PSS and then this reservation is consumed by an automated integration test).
The Goal for this Software QA Engineer is to:

• Collaborate with Development Team members located in Manila and the US to make partially automated tests fully automated.
• Use broad NewSkies Domain knowledge in data conditioning of test data used by both unit and integration tests.
• Assist in reviewing unit and integration tests in pull requests created by the Development Team
• Design and create automated end to end tests that simulate how customers and end users use Digital APIs.
• Perform exploratory testing on Digital APIs.
• Test functionality integrated with other Navitaire Products (APO, LOY, TC, Skypay, Skyprice etc..) as well as assisting QA’s of these Products consuming Navitaire Digital API’s in their automation.
• Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent project execution.
• Perform all aspects of product testing including functional, component, regression and exploratory testing.
• Write and Review the Test Cases.
• Write and execute automated test scripts.
• Contribute to the tracking and resolution of bugs.
• Ensure product testing is completed within guidelines and according to standards.
• Initiate, identify and implement improvements to the test processes, automation and procedures.
• Notify the Software QA Engineering Manager of any major issues that may be encountered during testing.

• Must have broad knowledge of the NewSkies Reservation System.
• Must possess a University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar discipline with good academic records from schools with reputable CS or IT programs.
• With 4-6 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
• Experience in building test automation solutions, automated frameworks.
• Experience in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) preferably C# .NET.
• With good knowledge and experience on test automation.
• Strong English oral and written communication skills.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and multi-cultural environment.
• Team player, high initiative and quick learner.
