Role Summary: Project Meant for Ground Transportation System, located at One-North Requirement: To be CCNA Certified, familiar with Network Design, Implementation, Administration, Troubleshooting, and Capacity Optimization

Position Summary

To produce detailed design and implement Network for telecommunications systems for Transportation project.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

1. Responsibilites 1.1 Design, specify & costing of detailed Network solution, including:

• Interpreting requirement and producing fully detailed & compliant design
• Interfacing with customer engineer for design definition
• Interfacing with other system-wide designers for service definition
• Interfacing with suppliers and vendors for product definition
• Evaluating and costing of the most suitable products and system

1.2 During site implementation, testing & commissioning the Network

• Able to lead test engineers to deliver testing activities against stringent timescales

1.3 Keep track of progress of all design & interface tasks

• Carrying out all assigned work efficiently, with a minimum of supervision
• Expediting response and deliverables (documents & including engineering drawings, specifications, design reports and calculations, equipment details and other project information)

2. Technical Skills 2.1 Professional knowledge and experience in network detailed design and implementations

• On technologies including SDH, MPLS-TP, IP, IP/MPLS, Ethernet etc,
• Network detailed design, administration, troubleshooting, capacity optimization,
• Network security design and implementation,
• Cable network design (fibre, copper, structured cabling)

2.2 Demonstrating a degree of initiative, and resourcefulness in solving problems 3. Aptitude/Soft Skills

• Resourceful and analytical in design activities, ability to use pertinent data for meticulous recommendations
• Making timely & well considered technical decisions, both independently and in concert with other

4. Requirements 4.1 Qualifications (Academic, Professional)

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications Engineering

4.2 Strong advantage on following Professional Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA)
• Or other vendor specific courses, such as Juniper Certified Internet Expert (JNCIE)

4.3 Juniors are welcome
