Your Tasks

• Participate in projects related to Data Centre migration & consolidation activities, focused on LAN, WAN, WLAN including Data centers
• Drive project efforts related to installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Cisco Switches and FortiNet Firewalls.
• Effectively communicate with project management, team members, as well as IT partners and stakeholders
• Manage technical projects and provide expert consulting on technical initiatives
• Create and maintain project documentation in order to ensure smooth handover to Operations team. Prepare documents related to change implementation (RFC).
• Ensure system compliance with SYNLAB's security and privacy policies and other regulations such as NIST 800-171, HIPAA, GDPR, etc
• Influence work priorities, technical decisions, and implementation procedures at project level
• Participate in implementing project tasks during non-business hours in order to minimize impact on critical IT services & solutions.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of IT Network administration in a global enterprise environment
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
• Hands on experience on

o Cisco switching platforms and Cisco routing platforms
o Cisco Meraki access points
o Fortinet and SonicWALL firewall platforms
o KEMP load balancers

• Sound knowledge of

o routing protocols like BGP and OSPF
o Layer 2 Protocols like Spanning-Tree and VXLAN
o VPN Technologies like IPSec VPN, SSL VPN
o Common WAN concepts like MPLS and SD-WAN
o network management protocols (Radius, Tacacs+, AAA, SSH, SNMP)
o DNS and Proxy configurations
o Network Access Control and Next Generation Radius Servers (ISE or ClearPass)

• Added advantage - Hands on experience with SIEM,
• Added advantage - CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Enterprise,
• Added advantage - Fortinet NSE4 certification
• Ability to handle network issues independently
• Strong oral and written communication skills, documentation skills
• Passion towards new trends in technology
