Job Description

1. Practical experience in configuring routers/switches (e.g., CISCO and Alcatel), Firewalls (PaloAlto and Checkpoint), and intrusion detection/protection systems.2. Administration, support & maintenance of campus-wide network infrastructure including the following (but not limited to): a. Cisco and Alcatel Switches b. PaloAlto, Checkpoint, Cisco, Juniper Firewalls. c. Cisco Lightweight Access Points d. Wireless controller and devices (Cisco and/or Alcatel/Aruba) e. Aruba ClearPass (CPPM) - Network Access Control Appliance f. F5 LoadBalancer g. Structured Cabling (UTP / Fiber)3. Ensure that the campus network is in optimum performance by continually reviewing areas of improvement.4. Recommend the optimum or alternative solutions5. Monitor and maintain service availability6. Accountable for network operations7. Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting, interpretation of statistics and traffic pattern.8. Firewall rules configuration and security setting.9. Ensure procedures are documented10. Ensure SOP are up-to-date11. Ensure compliance to policies and procedures12. Follow up on requests, deployments & incidents/issues (including escalation) and ensure proper and timely closure13. Ensure that relevant parties (including the requestor/users) are updated on the progress14. Maintaining and upgrading Firmware / OS on Network Devices15. Configuration and maintenance of Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switches16. Configuration and Implementation of Core Firewalls17. Configuration and Implementation of Network Access Control Appliance18. Updating documentation and diagrams to any changes to the environments19. Experienced and familiarity with Structured Cabling, Network, and routing technologies, network solutions i.e. using CISCO, Juniper, Alcatel network equipment20. Responsible for working with the Service Desk & On-site Support Team to provide Network supportJob Requirements

• Degree or diploma in IT, Engineering or Computer science

• Network Engineer shall have at least three (3) years hands-on experience

• Possess industry standard certifications minimally have CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, or equivalent.

• Windows applications software skills like MS Word, Excel, Power point, Visio, FTP, TFTP, etc

• Knowledge of Managed Services and hands on experience on LAN/WAN technologies

• Knowledge of Layer 2 & 3 Technologies: Good knowledge of Switching technologies like VLAN's, HSRP, Devices: Alcatel & Cisco switches,

• Be a Team player with good interpersonal and communications skills

• Customer oriented and be able to handle difficult situations. With the drive and energy to explore new ways of doing things to improve customer experience.

• Network Engineer should have hands-on experience and knowledge in administration and troubleshooting of Firewalls (Palo Alto and Checkpoint Firewalls) and F5 Load Balancer

• Previous working experience in SOE environment will be preferred.

• Experience in managing / administration of Aruba ClearPass is a plus.

Job Type: ContractSalary: $6,000.00 - $8,000.00 per monthExperience:
