Role Purpose/ Objective: To be responsible for designing, developing, monitoring and managing network infrastructure within an organisation or between organisations to maximise efficiency and security.Key Accountabilities1. Project Planning and Operations.a) To work with Management closely in undertaking duties required for projects. This includes but not limited to: - To establish the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation and defining, documenting and enforcing system standards;- To assist in procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation (if any);- To design and implement new solutions and improve resilience of the current environment;- To maximise network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with relevant stakeholders on network optimisation;- To undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources;- To secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access;- To support and administer firewall environments in line with IT security policy;- To report network operational status by gathering and prioritising information and managing projects;- To upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases when required;- To configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services and firewalls;- To provide support to end users/customers during installation;- To provide troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;- To undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres.b) To provide before, during and after project services: - liaise with the relevant stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure project timeline and requirements are met;- provide basic logistics support for faulty equipment;- provide onsite support at client / end-user's premise.2. Other relevant duties- To abide to, and champion, the company's physical laptop security policy;- To assist Management in any other projects of the Company when required for e.g cabling & etc;- To perform any other relevant duties for the Company according to the business's needs when required.
