Network Engineer
Job Description
1. Administer all network equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
2. Analyze local and wide area network systems including testing.
3. Provide design, migration, implementation and deployment services/guidance.
4. Perform network system backups.
5. Assist in the design and review of new data, voice and telephony deployments.
6. Maintain firewalls to ensure proper security controls are in place.
7. Provide support for new applications and upgrades to existing systems.
8. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
9. Plan network layouts and configure systems to user environment.
10. Ensure current configurations are documented clearly and accurately.
Job requirements
1. Possess a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s or Graduate Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, information technology or relevant experience.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience operating in a similar role.
3. Good understanding of firewall and security.
4. Excellent at problem solving and consulting.
5. Skilled with cloud, scripting and writing routing protocols.
6. Able to work independently.
7. Fluent in a variety of programs and software.
8. Experience in python is a plus.
9. Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.
10. Initiative, enthusiasm and willingness to learn in a fluid and fast-paced environment.
