Our client is a Single-Stop IT Services & Solutions Provider located in Singapore; Bukit Merah is looking for an IT Support Engineer to support their operations.

Job Position: Network Engineer Salary: SGD3,000 to SGD4,000 Location: Singapore, Bukit Merah

• Provide L2 tech support and diagnose problems through onsite or remotely troubleshooting

• Install, configure, troubleshoot and support (after-sales) networking & network security equipment (major brands)

• Provide technical support and network consultancy service from time to time

• Maintain network documentation

• Ability to oversee customers\xe2\x80\x99 requirements and translate to feasible solutions &/ or design

• Taking ownership of customers\xe2\x80\x99 technical issues reported & tracking them through resolutions timely and escalate to appropriate channels when applicable

• Install, support and maintain hardware and software network infrastructure according to best practices including routers, switches, wireless access controller/ point, firewalls etc

• Evaluates existing network equipment and/ or users\xe2\x80\x99 needs to analyses, design, recommend and implement system changes

• Adapt and support to enhancement and change to network configurations, whenever deemed necessary

• Support technical needs in the company and/ or clients\xe2\x80\x99 environment through integration of new and existing technologies

• Assist enterprise solution/ sales team in joint-calls with working business partners & technology key vendors in products demo, PoC sessions, sit-down discussion, site survey, attendsite briefing etc. for projects related meetings
  

Requirements

• Knowledge in network topology

\xc3\x98 Ability to configure major brands of firewall devices \xc3\x98 Ability to configure major brands of endpoint protection software \xc3\x98 Ability to setup/ manage network switches (e.g. configure VLAN and L2 switching) \xc3\x98 Ability to setup/ manage wireless network devices \xc3\x98 Advantage if you have good knowledge in enterprise network equipment & network security \xe2\x80\x93 including technical presales pitching &/ or hands-on experience \xc3\x98 Advantage if you have good knowledge on WAN network: MPLS VPN and IPsec VPNs, SSL

• Diploma/ Degree in Information Technology IT/ Telecommunication / Computer Engineering or relevant IT certifications

• Prefer someone (but not a must) with Cisco CCNA/ CCNP certificate or other equivalent network certificate

• Min. 3 years of expertise in implementation / administering and troubleshooting network and IT infrastructure equipment

• Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Ability to handle documentation and explaining network and IT architecture

• An advantage if candidate from similar industry/ worked in SI environment

• An added advantage if candidate has system infra knowledge experience

• Well-versed in firewall e.g. Fortinet, Sonicwall will be major advantage

• Proficiency in Mandarin: The System Engineer will be required to have a good command of Mandarin for dealing with Mandarin-speaking clients and colleagues in China
