We are looking for Network Engineer based at Singapore who will be able to perform network setup, and system integration with system engineers, integrators and other counterparts. Real world experience of designing, implementing, monitoring and managing on-premise network systems (LAN, WAN, Wireless) for a variety of switches, routers, firewalls and access points. The candidate participates in the realization of complex IT systems technology in the field of biometrics applied to security or border control applications.

Main responsibilities Within Public Security Business Unit / SDI (System Development & Integration), the candidate will be in charge of:

  • Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
  • Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
  • Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
  • Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
  • Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company\xe2\x80\x99s security team
  • Provide Level 3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues, Investigating faults in the network
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Support system integration test, system validation test, load and performance test, and high availability test with relevant team members
  • Produce documents related to installation, testing or operational and administration.
  • Provide training to customer and handover system to maintenance support team.
Experience / qualifications / skills
  • Degree in Computer Science / Software engineering / Information technology related fields.
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience for a variety of switches, routers, firewalls and access points
  • CCNA Certification (CCNP or higher will be an advantage)
  • Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools, e.g. Wireshark, Solarwind
