Job Description

:

• Collaborate with System Administrators to ensure the overall health and functionality of Data Center (DC) and network systems
• Perform regular health checks on network devices and data center infrastructure, including temperature monitoring and energy consumption analysis using Data Centre Infrastructure Management tools
• Utilize network health monitoring tools to monitor the status and performance of network devices
• Assist System Administrators in conducting scheduled system health checks on standalone networks
• Report any deviations from established baselines or hardware failures to the System Administrators
• Act as the main point of contact on-site for maintenance teams and visitors to the IT Room
• Maintain a comprehensive log of findings from infrastructure health checks
• Collaborate with the technical support team to implement port security measures on network devices
• Configure network devices based on provided templates to ensure consistency and compliance
• Verify and update network patch details, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation
• Update records for new network faceplates and patch cables, maintaining accurate documentation of changes

Qualifications:

• Degree holder in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, equipment, and technologies
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
• CCNA certification is a must
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders
• Flexibility to visit different location sites as required (up to three times a month)
