Monitors network stability and performance using a variety of network monitoring tools such as (Cacti, MRTG, Nagios, Ping plotter, etc.)
Documents all network issues and resolutions in detail using our ticketing system.
Provides level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting, including network analysis, line testing, and checking of network devices/configurations.
Raise and drive trouble tickets with telecommunications service providers and hardware vendors to resolve service issues.
When problems are too large or complex for quick troubleshooting, NOC Engineers escalate the issue to management, and other IT resources of 3rd party vendors for assistance in reaching a resolution.
Deploys network devices for new offices.
Perform scheduled configuration changes to the network.
Perform OS upgrades.
Report the operational state of the network on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Network Support Environment.
Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Devices.
Has knowledge of the following technologies: OP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP): Routing Protocols (Static Routing, BGP, OSPF); Switching (VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, HSRP)
Understanding of IP addressing including subnetting and supernetting, DNS, and DHCP.
CCNA Certified or equivalent level of knowledge
Being able to work independently with minimal supervision
Should be willing to work on shifting schedule (Including Sunday, and Public Holidays)
