Job Description

• Monitors network stability and performance using a variety of network monitoring tools such as (Cacti, MRTG, Nagios, Ping plotter, etc.)
• Documents all network issues and resolutions in detail using our ticketing system.
• Provides level 1 to level 2 troubleshooting, including network analysis, line testing, and checking of network devices/configurations.
• Raise and drive trouble tickets with telecommunications service providers and hardware vendors to resolve service issues.
• When problems are too large or complex for quick troubleshooting, NOC Engineers escalate the issue to management, and other IT resources of 3rd party vendors for assistance in reaching a resolution.
• Deploys network devices for new offices.
• Perform scheduled configuration changes to the network.
• Perform OS upgrades.
• Report the operational state of the network on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Network Support Environment.
• Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Devices.
• Has knowledge of the following technologies: OP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP): Routing Protocols (Static Routing, BGP, OSPF); Switching (VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, HSRP)
• Understanding of IP addressing including subnetting and supernetting, DNS, and DHCP.
• CCNA Certified or equivalent level of knowledge
• Being able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Should be willing to work on shifting schedule (Including Sunday, and Public Holidays)
