Job Description

Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of various software services.
Assist the team in reviewing ticket requirements, reserving router interfaces, assigning patch panel demarcations, designing network paths, tracking fiber optic cables (FOC) and design layout records (DLR), coordinating equipment patching, and ordering cross-connects.
Monitor project milestones and proactively address potential risks that may delay order completion.
Maintain thorough and timely updates throughout the implementation lifecycle in the tracking system, including communicating vendor provisioning and installation timelines.
Document service requests, escalate issues as needed, and provide accurate status updates.
Support the design, provisioning, and testing of delivered services to ensure a seamless transition to internal customers.
Expedite and escalate critical issues to meet service delivery deadlines.
Help prioritize projects, manage workflows, and direct activities to ensure connectivity is delivered within project timelines.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and network service providers.
Assist in developing operational metrics and reports for performance reviews.
Support scheduled system maintenance while minimizing service disruptions.
Review and interpret vendor-specific requirements.
Deploy and maintain a global production network infrastructure, including edge, backbone, data center, and content delivery network components.
Provide technical leadership and oversight during deployment activities in data centers and Points of Presence (POPs), ensuring proper power, cooling, rack layout, cable management, physical equipment installation, network configuration, testing, and final handoff for production use.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships internally.
Apply standard practices and procedures when analyzing situations or data.
Knowledge of cable capacity, throughput, and transmission distances.
Understanding of the telecommunications industry, particularly in a switched network provisioning environment.
Familiarity with telecommunications terminology, industry standards, and interface protocols.
Experience in provisioning network bandwidth for IP transit, fiber optics, voice, and wavelength services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Network certification.
Experience with various programming or scripting languages.
