Job Description

Responsibilities:Participate in the implementation of various software services.
Assist the team in reviewing ticket requirements, reserving router interfaces, assigning patch panel demarcation, designing paths, tracking FOC and DLR, requesting patching between equipment, and ordering cross-connects.
Provide thorough and timely status updates throughout the entire implementation lifecycle in the tracking system, including communicating vendor provisioning/install lead times.
Aid in the design, provision, and testing of delivered services to ensure quality hand-off to internal customers.
Expedite and escalate issues when necessary to ensure the timely delivery of services.
Assist in prioritizing projects, managing and directing activities to deliver connectivity within project schedules.
Communicate and collaborate with internal customers, stakeholders, and network carriers.
Assist with metrics development and operational reporting/reviews.
Support planned systems maintenance activities while minimizing the impact on services.
Read and comprehend vendor-specific requirements.
Deploy and support the client\'s global production network, including edge, backbone, data center, and content delivery network infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and guidance during deployment activities in the client\'s data centers and POPs, including facility power, cooling, rack layout, cable management, physical equipment installation, network equipment configuration, testing, and handoff for production traffic.
Perform other duties as required.Required Qualifications/Skills:About 3 years of relevant experience
Preferably with Network certification and various coding experience
Ability to build stable working relationships internally.
Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), layer 1 troubleshooting, and cross-connect ordering.
Proficiency in troubleshooting cross-connects, including verifying light levels and swapping TX/RX.
Ability to explain end-to-end troubleshooting steps to rectify issues.
Knowledge of cable throughput and transit distances.
Understanding of the telecommunications industry in a switched network provisioning environment.
Familiarity with basic telecommunications practices, terminologies, and interfaces.
Understanding of provisioning network bandwidth for IP transit, fiber, voice, and wavelength services.
