Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Security Implementation & Management
Deploy, configure, and maintain
F5 systems
includingLTM
,WAF
, andAPI
modules. Implement and manageAzure Cloud security
controls, includingAPIM gateways
andNetwork Security Groups (NSGs)
. Maintain and administerfirewall and intrusion prevention systems
(e.g., Cisco FTD/FMC or equivalent). Monitor and troubleshoot network and security performance issues to ensure continuous protection and availability.Security Policy & Configuration
Implement and enforce
granular security policies
across F5, firewalls, and Azure environments. Conductregular rule base reviews
, policy cleanups, and performance optimizations. Ensure consistentpolicy integration
andconfiguration alignment
across application delivery and network security platforms.Documentation & Collaboration
Maintain accurate
network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
. Work closely withcloud, network, and application teams
to align security policies with business and compliance requirements. Support security audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsExperience
3-5 years of experience in
network security
ornetwork engineering
roles. Proven track record indeploying and maintaining F5
,Azure security
, andfirewall
solutions.Technical Skills
Hands-on experience with
F5 BIG-IP
platforms (LTM
,WAF/ASM
,API
). Strong knowledge ofAzure Cloud security
, includingNSG
andAPIM
. Experience withfirewall platforms
(e.g.,Cisco FTD/FMC
, Palo Alto, or similar). Understanding ofnetwork protocols
(TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S). Familiarity withsecurity concepts
such asfirewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs
, andzero-trust principles
. Basic knowledge ofautomation
orcloud-native security tools
is an advantage.Preferred Certifications
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Security Engineer AssociateCisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Security)
F5 Certified Administrator
orF5 Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
Other relevant certifications such asCISSP
orCompTIA Security+
