- Responsible for the monitoring of servers, systems & networks in an environment requiring 24 X 7 X 365 uptime. - Provides escalation point for all system generated events/alerts and user generated incidents. - Follow established Standard Operating Procedures in response to system alerts and routine tasks with consistent accuracy. - Perform tasks as defined in the NOC Shift Report. These tasks vary by day and night shift but include items such as performing backups, checking status of current jobs, tape management, etc. - Demonstrate initiative and provide feedback on existing processes and procedures, submitting ideas for on-going improvements. NOC Operators should use their experience with the system to help review documentation on a continuous basis. - NOC Operators are expected to be somewhat flexible in their work schedules. On occasion, it may be necessary to work an odd shift to help cover shifts when co-workers are out. Special situations may arise that require the NOC Operator to perform additional tasks that are not listed above. - Assist in testing and evaluating possible enhancements to monitoring solutions - Assist in managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure - Assist in deploying tools and systems to manage and monitor IT environments fulfilling requirements from internal or external parties Requirements - ITE/ Diploma / Degree in IT / Computer Engineering or equivalent - 2 years of experience in IT Support & Monitoring - ITIL Foundation V3 is preferred - Experienced with monitoring tools & service desk system We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
