Job Description
- Provides technical support to NPI Engineers. Coordinates and monitors the qualification of new product introductions and escalated live production orders.
- Provides technical evaluation and analysis of sample parts and gathered data.
- Safeguards integrity and confidentiality of technical engineering documents.
- Prepares, coordinates and monitors design changes and PRCOs including the registration and release of cutters.
- Manages and coordinates the F7 machines’ loading plan
- Manages and coordinates the schedule and attendance of F7 machinists
- Assists in generation of NPI handover recipe documentation
- Supports pre-production reviews and risk assessments
- Designs and manufactures fixtures, inspection jigs, gauges and prototypes for engineering evaluation.
- Coordinates calibration of linear measuring instruments. Manages the inventory of department’s tools and small equipment.
- Monitors, updates and prepares reports regarding departmental KPIs, activities, performances and standards.
- Initiates timely purchase requisition and management of departmental supplies including inventory of NPI cutters and materials.
- Recommends changes to improve CAM program, cycle time and machine utilization.
- Provides support to manufacturing as required and other duties as requested.
