Ntc Assistant Head Coach (swimming)
Job Description
Singapore Aquatics (SAQ), as a member of World Aquatics (AQUA), serves as the governing body for swimming, water polo, diving, and artistic swimming in Singapore. SAQ is charged with the development and education of aquatic athletes, officials, coaches and volunteers throughout Singapore, and with the conduct of competitions and programmes for all levels of participation. We are seeking a full time NTC Assistant Head Coach who holds a supportive role in the ongoing development of the NTC's coaching programme.
The assistant coach will report to the NTC Head Coach and assist the successful operation of the high performance swimming program which includes planning and implementation of practice sets on the pool deck, working with sports scientists to enhance performance, preparation for competitions and additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Possess technical knowledge of swimming with relevant swimming coaching certifications of National Registry of Coaches (NROC) Level 1 or equivalent Proven track record of coaching at developmental and high performance levels A flexible approach to working hours including the ability to work on weekends as and when required Ability to travel for competitions Ability to use Microsoft office tools like word, excel and powerpoint Knowledge on Sports Science required.

Effective time management, planning and organisation skills. Desire and passion to work and contribute to the high performance eco system of developing quality swimmers to represent Singapore. Willingness to learn and do what it takes to be successful as a high performance coach Has the interpersonal and management skills to successfully motivate and direct team /staff members where relevant to share knowledge and work as a team * Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills to be an effective communicator, within the NTC and the community, comfortable talking with parents, swimmers, fellow coaches and other stakeholders and organisations.
