: 1 Management1.1 To actively help in the continuous upgrading of care standards.1.2 Provides leadership and effective management of the Nursing Department.1.3 Supervises and ensures care staff to provide expected care standards and customer servicing.1.4 Do discharge planning.1.5 Oversees the multi-disciplinary team consisting of registered nurses, healthcare attendants and physiotherapy aides.1.6 Ensures service quality standard and cost-effective services are maintained and enhanced.1.7 Responsible for the compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health, Singapore Nursing Board and Agency for Integrated Care.1.8 Prepares staff duty roster, leaves administration1.9 Draws up short and long-term plans (e.g. annual and 5-yearly plans) to accommodate trends in residential nursing care.1.10 Coordinates with the other departments to ensure smooth delivery of service.2 Patient Care2.1 Analyses trends and changing needs of the residents in institutional settings. Plans nursing care based on changing trends.2.2 Operationalizes and monitors the smooth transition of the residents from acute to step-down care.2.3 Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care.2.4 Oversees the administration of treatment prescribed for residents.2.5 Plans and conducts therapeutic programs for patients.2.6 Conducts or makes arrangement for health education counselling for residents and their family members.2.7 Ensures that care staff deliver expected standard of care.3 Training and Professional Development3.1 Participates in continuing education programs.3.2 Keeps pace with professional trends and practices.3.3 Participates actively in medical products evaluation.3.4 Participates in nursing research, where required.4 Others4.1 Any other duties assigned by SupervisorsRequirements: SEN / SRN / Diploma or Degree in Nursing or Professional Qualifications 2 - 4 years in nursing with experience in a management role Registered with SNB
