Job Description

:

• Oversee the assigned nursing home operations to ensure that the relevant nursing home’s philosophy, policies and objectives
• Oversee team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Aides and Healthcare Assistants.
• Oversee incident reporting activities including investigation, report writing and communicating response
• Participate in budgetary planning and ensure there is effective implementation and utilisation of budget.
• Ensure appropriate skills mix and adequate manpower
• Support the Director of Nursing
• Ensure proper management of resources, reduce wastages, increase efficiency
• Responsible for the compliance of all nursing standards as stipulated by Ministry of Health and Singapore Nursing Board.
• Lead quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality
• Ensure quality audits are planned and conducted periodically.
• Promotes evidence-based practices or nursing care delivery.
• Ensure written policies and procedures and work process are available and up to date .
• Ensures smooth transition of residents from acute to chronic care and back to the community
• Participate actively in discussions/ communication with external agencies (e.g. AIC, MOH).
• Ensure there is effective stakeholder management with all groups of stakeholders
• Partner the Operations Manager in the upkeep, security, maintenance of building, facilities and equipment.
• Direct and facilitate staff development
• Oversee counselling sessions conducted for staff who may be facing trouble with work.

• Degree in Nursing, Management Studies or equivalent
• Post Graduate Nursing Specialty Certificate
• State Registered Nurse and valid practicing licensed issued by the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Valid certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• At least 5 years of management experience, with demonstration of leadership ability in a health care organization
• Possess initiative, drive and self-motivation to persevere and make things happen
• Able to work effectively with diverse teams and all levels of employees to achieve positive outcomes
• High tolerance of stress and ambiguity
