Role Overview

The Nurse Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and inspiring the nursing team while upholding the highest standards of clinical care and operational excellence. This position requires a balance of hands-on patient care, staff supervision, compliance management, and active involvement in projects that advance eldercare practices.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Leadership

Provide strong leadership and effective management of the Nursing Department. Supervise and guide care staff to deliver quality care and service in alignment with organisational standards. Oversee and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including Nurses, Nursing Aides, Healthcare Assistants, and Therapy staff. Ensure compliance with MOH, SNB, and AIC standards and regulations. Handle workforce planning including duty rosters, leave management, and manpower allocation.

Patient Care

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to meet the evolving needs of residents. Manage smooth transitions of residents from acute to step-down care settings. Oversee administration of prescribed treatments and conduct therapeutic programs. Provide health education, counselling, and support for residents and their families.

Training & Professional Development

Mentor, coach, and supervise nursing staff to enhance clinical competency and professional growth. Conduct training sessions, competency assessments, and clinical audits to ensure continuous quality improvement. Develop training materials and contribute to curriculum design where required. Participate in product evaluations, nursing research, and initiatives that strengthen care delivery outcomes.

Requirements

Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB). Minimum 2 years of experience in a Nurse Manager or equivalent leadership role. Strong leadership and people management capabilities. Excellent clinical knowledge and nursing expertise. Proficiency in clinical and administrative software systems. Candidates with more extensive experience may be considered for senior-level roles.

Working Hours: Mon- Fri (8am- 5pm)
