We are looking for a highly driven individual to be part of HSA\'s Blood Resources Division- Blood bank team, where you will play a key role in supporting the National Blood Programme (NBP). In this front-facing role, the Nurse Manager will work closely in a dynamic team to maintain and uphold operational efficiencies, safety and quality standards of our blood collection centres\' at the highest levels.

This role will be responsible for motivating, leading, and managing the clinical team(s) within our blood banks. A passion for service and people management is a must. This is an exciting opportunity within the healthcare community, and we would love to hear from experienced professionals!

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise operations of Whole Blood and Apheresis collection programmes
  • Whole Bloo Collection of blood in its complete form, not separated into its various components.
  • Apheresis: An automated process where plasma, platelets or red cells in the blood drawn is separated and remaining components are returned to donor during the donation process
  • Provide pre & post blood donation nursing care, perform donor phlebotomy and within set standard operating procedures to ensure the safety of the national blood supply
  • Provide clinical support in donor management activities such as medical screening and management of blood donor complications
  • Work closely with Centre Manager(s) to ensure seamless operations of collection centres
  • Serve as a Mentor while supporting the leadership team on collaborative People Management strategies
  • Co-create and curate training strategies and coach juniors in their work responsibilities and be involved with competency and proficiency assessments and testing
  • Support quality management activities such conducting validation and participate in Blood Bank Audits to meet accreditation standards

[What we are looking for]

Requirements: -
  • Minimum Advanced Diploma or Degree in Nursing with 5 years of relevant experience as a Registered Nurse in recognised healthcare setting(s)
  • Must hold valid Nursing registration certificate with Singapore Nursing Board
  • Previous experience with leading operational teams in a management role is preferred
  • Team members will be rostered to support morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week and are not required to perform night shift.
Our Blood banks operate 6 days a week, between 9am - 8pm*
