Job Description

:

• Provide direct nursing care to all clients with special attention to those with general and enhanced dementia.
• Perform basic patient care procedures e.g. taking of vital signs, weight and height etc. under the direction of trained nurses.
• Attend to patients needs in their activities of daily livings like feeding, showering, toileting, positioning, lifting and transferring, elimination e.g. diapers changing.
• Assist with safe reminders of medications and accurate documentation.
• Assist supervisor in providing emotional and social support to the clients.
• Assist in meals setup for clients and safe preparation of food under supervision.
• Monitor diet/fluid intake when instructed.
• Report any change in clients condition to the trained nurses.
• Assist in medical emergency situations.
• Adhere and implement infection control measures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties such as disposal of waste and decontamination activities etc.
• Maintain overall tidiness and cleanliness of the work environment.
• Maintain a safe environment and take measures to prevent fall.
• Perform inventory count of equipment and in topping up of supplies.
• Perform appropriate clinical related documentation in a timely manner.
• Observe confidentiality and privacy of the client in compliance with PDPA and institution policy.
• Escort clients between centre or to other destinations or for outings with or without transport whenever requires.
• Assist the Team in managing adverse situations, handling of complaints and service recovery.
• Provides cross coverage to colleagues or deployment to other centre/s when need arises.

Job Requirement

WSQ Higher Certificate/ Advanced Certificate/ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or Diploma in Practical Nursing or Degree in Nursing.

Preferably has a BCLS or a First Aid Certificate

Reliable, observant, helpful and possess a positive attitude.

Must have patience and finds satisfaction working with clients with dementia, as well as their families.

Willing to work staggered shift

Working hours for Monday to Saturday

Shift 1 - 6.30am to 4.00pm (opening)

Shift 2 - 7.00am to 4.30pm

Shift 3 7.30am to 5.00pm

Shift 4 8.00am to 5.30pm

Shift 5 - 8.30am to 6.00pm

Shift 6 - 9.00am to 6.30pm

Shift 7 9.30am to 10.00am

Shift 8 - 10.00am to 7.30pm (closing)

5 working days, with 1 off day on weekday and 1 rest day on Sunday
