Job requirements:
At least a qualification in any of the following:
- NITEC in Community Care & Social Services;
- NITEC in Nursing;
- HMI Institute of Health Sciences\xe2\x80\x99 Certificate in Healthcare Support \xe2\x80\x93 Patient Care,
- WSQ Certificate in Therapy Services and with relevant work experience in nursing care-related services such as Patient Care Assistant, Therapy Assistant and Porter
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist doctors and registered nurses in simple procedures/treatments under supervision
- Carrying out basic nursing procedures such as wound dressing; documenting, monitoring and recording observations of residents and their vital signs and reporting changes in condition to the registered nurse
- Supervise/assist residents in their daily needs (e.g. personal grooming and daily living activities)
- Escort residents for outings / medical appointments
The Nursing Aide will report to the Head Nurse. The Welfare Homes for destitute persons are located at Bukit Batok, Buangkok Green and Admiralty Street.
