  • Perform basic screening and assessment of clients e.g. fall risk.
  • Provide direct nursing care to all clients with special attention to those with general and enhanced dementia.
  • Perform basic patient care procedures e.g. taking of vital signs, weight and height etc. under the direction of trained nurses.
  • Attend to patient\'s needs in their activities of daily livings like feeding, showering, toileting, positioning, lifting and transferring, elimination e.g. diapers changing.
  • Assist with safe reminders of medications and accurate documentation.
  • Assist supervisor in providing emotional and social support to the clients.
  • Assist in meals setup for clients and safe preparation of food under supervision.
  • Monitor diet/fluid intake when instructed.
  • Report any change in client\'s condition to the trained nurses.
  • Assist in medical emergency situations.
  • Adhere and implement infection control measures.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties such as disposal of waste and decontamination activities etc. Maintain overall tidiness and cleanliness of the work environment.
  • Maintain a safe environment and take measures to prevent fall.
  • Perform inventory count of equipment and in topping up of supplies.
  • Perform appropriate clinical related documentation in a timely manner.
  • Observe confidentiality and privacy of the client in compliance with PDPA and institution policy.
  • Escort clients between centre or to other destinations or for outings with or without transport whenever requires.
  • Assist the Team in managing adverse situations, handling of complaints and service recovery.
  • Provides cross coverage to colleagues or deployment to other centre/s when need arises.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the said Reporting Officer.
Job Requirements
  • For local staff - WSQ Higher Certificate/ Advanced Certificate/ Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care)
  • For foreign staff \xe2\x80\x93 Diploma in Practical Nursing or Degree in Nursing: Preferably has a BCLS or a First Aid Certificate
  • Reliable, observant, helpful and possess a positive attitude.
  • Patience and enjoys working with clients with dementia, as well as their families.
  • Willing to work staggered shifts according to Centre operating hours and overtime when requires.
Working Hours

5-day week, with 1 off day on weekday (excluding Sundays and gazetted public holidays) and the working hours are as follows, depending on the duty roster:
  • Working hours for Monday to Saturday
  • 8.5 work hours per day ranging from 6.30am to 7pm
