Ikigai Health blends personalized nutrition, training, life/health coaching, and rehabilitation to deliver long-term behavior change and performance improvements. Our nutritionist will work closely with trainers, coaches, and clinicians to provide customized nutrition programs tailored to each individual's needs.
Role Overview
We are seeking a
Nutritionist
to deliver one-on-one and small-group individualized nutrition consultations and programs. The ideal candidate will blend evidence-based medical and performance nutrition with practical behavior-change coaching, focusing on measurable client outcomes, retention, and clinic growth.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Planning:
Conduct holistic nutrition assessments (medical history, medications, dietary intake, lifestyle, goals, body composition, and relevant labs) and produce documented Individualized Nutrition Plans.
Consultations:
Deliver face-to-face one-on-one consultations (initial + follow-ups), including creating realistic meal plans, recipes, shopping guides, and behavior-change strategies tailored to each client.
Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT):
Provide MNT only if appropriately credentialed. If not, please triage and refer clients to AHPC-registered dietitians or the medical team as needed.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with in-house trainers, physiotherapists, and coaches to create integrated care plans and liaise on client progress.
Outcome Tracking:
Set SMART goals, record baseline metrics (weight, body composition, blood tests where available), and monitor progress. You will also update plans and log notes in the clinic record system.
Education & Content Creation:
Run client education sessions, group workshops, and occasional cooking demos that reflect local HPB guidance. You will also contribute to clinic content, including blogs, short videos, and social media posts, that provide evidence-based, locally relevant advice.
Professionalism:
Maintain accurate clinical notes, consent forms, data privacy, and professional boundaries. Attend regular case reviews and Continuing Professional Education (CPE) sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements
We are hiring for a
private practice/coaching track
with a focus on wellness, weight management, and performance.
Education:
A degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Nutritional Sciences, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 2+ years of experience in a private practice or clinic setting.
Counselling Skills:
Excellent counseling and behavior-change skills are essential (motivational interviewing preferred).
Language Skills:
Strong written English is required. Proficiency in Mandarin or Malay is a plus, given our client base.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with basic clinic software/EMR and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
A Master's in Sports Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or Public Health Nutrition.
An ISSN or other sports/performance nutrition certification for working with sports clients.
Experience with body composition measurement (BIA, skinfold) and interpreting common lab results.
Membership in the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA).
If you are a compassionate and knowledgeable nutritionist ready to make a positive impact in a collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply!
