Where you fit in

You are a part of the health team responsible for delivering the health strategy to your key stakeholders \xe2\x80\x93 a defined employee population and or a line of business/function. This also includes ensuring compliance with local legislation as well as being customer centric. You provide occupational health nursing input and professional guidance. This will be through leveraging the Shell Health core competencies of health expertise, science, collaboration, and business intimacy.

What\xe2\x80\x99s the role?

As the Occupational Health Nurse for Bukom Singapore, you will be entrusted with the following:

You work through Shell Health protocols and processes to deliver agreed KPIs working autonomously most of the time, whilst learning from others and sharing best practice across Shell Health.

Informs management about outcome measures and recognize when to escalate information to more experienced Shell Health staff.

Dealing with general health and occupational health enquiries and signposting to the appropriate resource to guide key internal stakeholders on basic health information.

Promote and implement all Shell Health activities and programs to your population to improve their physical, mental, and social health through structured care program.

When faced with business issues and requests, first leverages existing expertise from the asset class specialists.

Maintain and manage all records relating to occupational health nursing issues.

Provide medical treatment to eligible employees with injuries and or illnesses, including during the performance of Medical Standby Duties (after office hours, weekends, and public holidays) and attend to emergencies as well as taking charge of the clinic after office hours.

Carry out the medical treatment within the scope of training and experience as directed by the Bukom Refinery Health Advisor and the Occupation Health Nurse Practitioner.

Carry out Industrial Hygiene duties within the scope of training and experience as directed by the Bukom Refinery Health Advisor and the Bukom Industrial Hygienist.

Participate and contribute positively in HSSE Assurance Audits/Walkabout by Factory Safety Committee and Bukom Leadership Team, including:

Canteen/food and drinking water safety inspections.

Site\xe2\x80\x99s Drug and Alcohol Program and testing.

Site\xe2\x80\x99s Worker Welfare Program.

Participate in duties related to Occupational and Public Health (NEA/MOM Officers inspection/auditing Bukom).

Assist and support in organising campaigns to enhance health awareness at business unit.

Maintain and ensure proper filing and maintenance of Medical and Administrative Records of Bukom Medical Department.

Plan, organize and conduct continuous trainings in First Aid Response Skills for designated First Aiders as necessary.

Plan, organize and perform Statutory Medical Examination for chemical hazard exposure including (but not limited to) Benzene and to submit the required reports to Ministry of Manpower.

In conjunction with the above, to incorporate the use of OneHealthIT tool so as to provide reassurance for the medical surveillance and bio monitoring of (but not limited to) Benzene to workers in line with Shell requirements.

Plan, organize and perform audiometric Screening Tests for employees for noise exposure and to submit the required reports to Ministry of Manpower.

In conjunction with the above, to incorporate the use of OneHealthIT tool so as to provide reassurance for the medical surveillance and audiometry to workers in line with Shell requirements for noise monitoring.

What we need from you

The successful candidate will have the following:

A Nurse with Occupational Health qualification recognized by the relevant professional body.

Current licenses (including Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license) that are relevant to the practice and performance of the duties within the country/location.

Significant experience of developing and implementing work setting evaluations, with occupational health standard.

Demonstration of ongoing learning and continuous professional development. HAZMAT Basic Provider Course, PHTLS and/or BCLS+AED (Instructor preferable) or equivalent.

Previous clinical experience relevant to this role. Industrial Hygiene Technician competence.

Able to work with clinical data to analyze outcomes and trends. Presentation skills desirable but can be developed in role.

Demonstrate a learner mindset, fostering inclusivity and psychological safety to identify improvement opportunities and innovation and efficient ways of working.

Good team player who can engage and inspire colleagues and stakeholders. Good communication skills- written and spoken.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate (business partnering) and integrate across boundaries to maximize value for Shell as a whole. Able to prioritize and shows courage to identify improvement opportunities and challenge lower value work.
