Job Description

What the role is:

Manage, consolidate and assess departments\' budget requirements, as well as analyze budget performance to make recommendations on the resource allocation.

What you will be working on:

1. Manage and evaluate the use of resources to achieve agency\'s goals. This includes performing budget amendments, budget reclass and generating monthly spending reports in Workday

2. Prepare reconciliations and schedules on a timely basis

3. Follow up with Departments\' Budget Representative on budget variances

4. Provide advice on finance policies and guidelines, and perform audits checks to ensure compliance with financial rules and regulations.

5. Review approval of requirements (AORs) and maintain institutional knowledge of budget approvals

6. Other ad-hoc duties assigned

What we are looking for:

1. Ability to collaborate effectively with individuals/ teams internally and externally;

2. Effective written and oral communication skills;

3. Effective presentation skills;

4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;

5. Good with details, meticulous and systematic;

6. Understanding of funding policies and concepts;

7. Proficiency in numerical calculation and statistical analysis;

8. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

9. Tertiary qualification in Business or Accountancy, with preferably 2 to 3 years\' financial experience.

Appointment will be commensurate with your experience.
