What the role is:As part of the Human Resources leadership team, your role is essential in leading and advising the HR team, ensuring successful implementation of HR initiatives across various HR functions, as outlined below. You will provide guidance to multiple teams of managers and executives and work closely with senior management.This position requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a strong understanding of HR best practices. The ideal candidate should be proactive, innovative, and capable of driving HR initiatives to support RP\'s goals.The candidate must be a people manager who is strong in coaching and developing teams.What you will be working on:Strategic Business PartneringPartner with department heads and senior management to provide strategic guidance and consultancy in addressing HR-related challengesDevelop and implement HR services and solutions that value-add and support the institution\'s corporate strategies.Review and enhance the business partnering approach to deliver organisational effectiveness and positive employee experienceTalent Attraction and AcquisitionDevelop and execute employer branding initiatives to build a pipeline of candidates with the relevant skill sets to meet the Polytechnic\'s manpower needsManage the recruitment process to ensure excellent candidate and onboarding experiencesHR analytics and technologyLead efforts in utilising HR analytics to provide insights to drive HR strategies and initiatives.Lead efforts in identifying opportunities for enhancements in service delivery by reviewing HR systems and processes, including the use of new tech tools and solutions.Other HR matters such as managing staff conduct and grievance handling.What we are looking for:Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business Management or related fieldAt least ten years of relevant work experience, with familiarity in various HR functions and with at least five years in leadership roleExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a strong desire to collaborate to provide value-added HR servicesA team player who is independent, resilient, resourceful with proven track record of building strong relationship with stakeholders at all levels and driving changeProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, SharePoint) and digitally-proficient to learn the use of new toolsSome experience with Workday HR System, Robotics Process Automation, Chatbots and Macro programming will be advantageousAbout Republic Polytechnic:The first educational institution in Singapore to leverage the Problem-based Learning approach for all its diploma programmes, Republic Polytechnic (RP) has seven schools offering courses in Applied Science, Engineering, Management and Communication, Hospitality, Infocomm, Sports, Health & Leisure, and Technology for the Arts.
