Job Description


The Securities & Derivatives Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to facilitate the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • For Equities Product, provide back-office functions support such as trade settlement, shares transfer/scrip conversion, Equity Linked Notes (ELN) settlement.
  • Sundry/Cash/Nostro/Operating Account reconciliation.
  • Perform daily and monthly position holdings reconciliation.
  • Participate in UAT testing, contribute to the projects, and process enhancements initiatives handled by the team with specific project/learning outcomes.
  • Timely handling of transactions, meeting and exceeding the Service expectation with internal and external clients.
  • Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex problems.
  • Uses professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise to resolve varied and complex issues that have notable impact on the business.
  • Support Risk / Control functions such as EDCFC / MCA / COB / etc.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of work experience in operations processing Wealth / Investment products
  • Knowledge and experience of Trade settlements, Corporate actions for Equities and Equity Options would be an added advantage
  • Responsible, organized and able to multitask under pressure
  • Good team player
  • Knowledge & experience of investment products will be an advantage
  • The incumbent should be a dynamic, positive and resourceful individual.
  • They will be expected to be self-motivated and have an active approach to problem resolution.
  • Must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully react to workload changes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must possess the ability to work well under pressure, be able to manage tight deadlines and situations where conflicting priorities arise on a daily basis.

Education:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance
