Westwood\xe2\x80\x99s Offshore Energy Services division is currently looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated individual to support our world-recognised Offshore Energy Services research and commercial advisory team in Singapore. You will immediate responsibility for shaping and driving Westwood\xe2\x80\x99s Offshore Marine research & thought leadership across the oil & gas and renewable industries. We encourage candidates who can demonstrate a combination of a highly analytical, problem-solving mindset with exceptional communication & business building skills. Primary Responsibilities & Expectations
- Conduct primary & secondary research into the global offshore marine industry. Ensure accuracy & relevance of Westwood\xe2\x80\x99s datasets & analysis.
- Author regular market reports on the global offshore energy & marine sector.
- Work with Westwood\xe2\x80\x99s commercial advisory teams and external stakeholders around the world by providing expert market, commercial & strategic analysis to support consulting mandates including high-profile M&A & corporate strategy.
- Develop thought leadership and brand awareness by building industry networks, publishing articles in industry journals and speaking/attending international conferences.
- Work with internal stakeholders across Westwood\xe2\x80\x99s Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams.
- Strong interest in the energy sector \xe2\x80\x93 in particular, market research and commercial analysis across the oil & gas and renewables sector.
- Robust quantitative & analytical skills \xe2\x80\x93 comfortable working with large datasets.
- Knowledge of MS suite \xe2\x80\x93 mainly Excel, Powerpoint & Word.
- Diligence & attention to detail \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring accuracy and taking ownership of outputs.
- Excellent communicator \xe2\x80\x93 both written & visual analysis of data as well as verbal presentation of outputs.
- Entrepreneurial mindset \xe2\x80\x93 comfortable working in small teams, gaining exposure/recognition and external business-building.
- Experience of the global offshore marine industry \xe2\x80\x93 this role would be well suited to individuals with a commercial/strategy background with an offshore vessel owner or brokerage.
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business, or other related discipline.
- Experience with data science & statistical programming packages \xe2\x80\x93 in particular R or similar.
- Background in report writing and publishing articles in recognised industry journals.
- Public speaking both at in-person events and via webinars.
