The Asia-Pacific agriculture pricing team is a dynamic and expanding team responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the region.

The Impact: We are seeking a price specialist with oilseeds market experience, able to build and drive our market coverage in Asia Pacific, with the primary focus on China. This is an exciting opportunity to build and drive S&P Global Platts assessments from inception through to adoption as price benchmarks.

What\'s in it for you:

• Opportunities to represent Platts at industry events, face-to-face meetings, presenting at conferences, webinars, podcasts or other interviews and to develop Platts as a significant presence in the Agriculture commodity space
• The successful candidate would contribute to a fast paced team based in Singapore that works across the biofuels, sugar and grain space as well as with the global agriculture team in USA, South America and Europe
• Assist in identifying, developing and executing assessment opportunities to drive growth
• Frequent travelling, including global offices

Responsibilities:

• Reporting on daily trading activity on physical bids, offers and traded information
• Identifying opportunities to refine methodology and help develop price assessments
• Building and managing our database of contacts
• Writing a daily commentary and assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices
• Building and maintaining transactions databases as well as daily crush and spread analysis
• Creating news stories and multi-media coverage
• Representing Platts at industry events as well as in face-to-face meetings with market participants in order to drive market adoption
• Supporting the biofuels and sugar analysis team

What We\'re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications

• Two to five years\' experience of global agricultural commodity markets - accompanying awareness of exchange traded derivatives preferred
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of role types and personalities, internally and externally
• Clear, concise English writing skills - prior experience or training in journalism preferred
• Native Mandarin speaker is required, due to the need to cover China\'s market
• Detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy regarding data entry and analysis
• High intellectual curiosity and effective problem-solving skills
• Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• A solid understanding of economics principles and commodities markets fundamentals
• Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel
• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines
• Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Business
