Job Description


Job Summary Workers provided by an employment or temp agency for a limited period of time on a fill-in basis or for a finite project.

The coordinator is responsible for performing various tasks at a customer site, including but not limited to inventory management, issuing, receiving, chemical tracking, storeroom tracking, and product delivery. The position requires knowledge and proficiency in using VWR and routine customer systems. The Coordinator is expected to engage in routine customer interaction and report progress as required.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities (List in order of importance)

  • Perform goods receive from supply chain team at customer warehouse.
  • Replenish goods in FIFO/FEFO order to customer staging area.
  • File electronic copies of product certification and delivery order with good documentation practice
  • Support daily customer service functions related to inventory management using digital platform tool.
  • Conduct inventory check and update inventory for accurate tracking.
  • Review and reconcile inventory discrepancies at customer staging area.
  • Generate report for monthly review meeting with customer.
  • Monitor slow-moving and dead stock, conduct cycle counting and reporting, etc.
  • Address expiry date issues, duplicate shipments, shipment overages, wrong goods received, and no charge replacements.
  • Resolve order discrepancies between inventory manager and SAP system.
  • Monitor and resolve material and capacity issues to achieve on-time delivery.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate closely with the team to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications (Education/Training, Experience, and Certifications)
  • Diploma or higher required.
  • 2- 3 years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service
  • Environmental Health Safety knowledge is a plus.
  • Cross-referencing and inside sales experience a plus
  • Singaporean or Permanent Resident of Singapore
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
  • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances, and medical checkups.
  • Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS; intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.
  • High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward-thinking.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of VWR\xe2\x80\x99s products and services
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts.
  • Must be able to lift 15kg maximum.
  • May be required to travel.

  • Typically works in an office, stockroom, or warehousing environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
  • Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedents are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
  • A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on a routine basis.
  • Some physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, or carrying objects that may weigh up to 15kg.
