Description and Requirements
  • Monitor data center systems (servers, networks, environmental controls) to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Perform physical and remote hardware installations, configurations, and decommissions.
  • Respond to system alerts, troubleshoot issues, and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of system activity, incidents, and maintenance logs.
  • Execute backup procedures and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in managing access controls and ensuring physical security policies are followed.
  • Coordinate with network, server, and application teams to support deployment and maintenance activities.
  • Perform routine inspections of power, cooling, cabling, and other infrastructure systems.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of server rooms and structured cabling.
  • Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in data center or IT operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware, network equipment, and data center best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds) is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with ticketing systems and documenting issues clearly.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and team-oriented attitude.
  • On-site role within a secure data center environment.
  • May require shift work and on-call availability.
  • Adherence to strict security and operational protocols.
