Role Overview:

The Operations Specialist/Associate will be a key member in the APAC Operations team with a main focus on Operations Risk and Controls . The role would involve a good understanding of the control processes in each of the Operations functional teams. Applying this knowledge to risk assess designs and operating effectiveness of the controls in these teams, and supporting the teams in remediation and implementing workflow remediation.

The successful candidate will in addition gain experience across the whole of Operations by participating in a rotational periods (when required), to supporting both the Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities as well as providing an opportunity to participate in project-related work undertaken by APAC Operations in various teams such as Operational Data, Brokerage Management & Investigations, Trade Management and Client Lifecycle Management (KYC/AML) etc. This will assist in fulfilling, a more extensive understanding of our institutional knowledge to better apply to thematic solutions to enhance operations risks and controls.

Role Responsibilities:

Potential exposure to various teams across APAC Operations which includes:

  • Operational Data Management: Maintaining high quality, clean data by adhering to a strict governance and controls framework. Support Data Integration projects/change initiatives/ process enhancement.
  • Brokerage Management & Investigation: Collaborating with the front office to prepare, draft and distribute brokerage agreements for TPICAP APAC clients. Also facilitates clients query and brokerage rates setup in systems.
  • Trade Management: Ensuring all trades executed by the Business in various trade capture systems are correctly and timely processed in Operations.
  • Client Lifecycle Management (KYC/AML): Assessing each Client Onboarding scenario and applying the appropriate level of Customer Due Diligence to ensure the completeness of relevant documentation to fulfil regulatory obligations required under the specific country jurisdiction, AML regulations and guidance.

Requirement:
  • Excellent attention to detail, proactive and highly organised with good time management.

Essential criteria:
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Singapore.
  • A broad base of operations knowledge and experience.
  • Sound understanding of the financial markets and financial regulation affecting client lifecycle management.
