What will your day look like
The Operational Risk Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting the Institutional Risk's Operational Risk Assurance team, an independent team within the Group Wholesale Credit (GWC) & Strategic Risk Enablement function.
This role performs 1st line assurance activities to manage I.AM Framework for GWC and IB Risk. - These involve key control testing, risk profiling, treatment plans and KRI monitoring, events management, and preparation of various risk forum packs.
Key Accountabilities include:
Apply ANZ's I.AM Framework to perform 1st line assurance activities:
Design test scripts for key controls and perform Key Control Testing activities
Provide guidance and support for businesses in the reporting and management of their operational risk events, in accordance with I.AM Framework requirements
Perform and monitor risk assessments, controls or risk treatment plans and KRIs
Support the management of GWC and IB risk profiles ensuring that COR reflects the up to date risk and control environment Proactively identify gaps in the process and suggest internal controls to mitigate any operational and compliance risks
Support the tracking and reporting of audit and/or risk review results and issue remediation
Support coordination of IB Risk Management Governance Forum and ad-hoc reporting requests as required by relevant stakeholders .
Escalate complex matters to the Operational Risk Assurance Manager in a timely manner and ensure appropriate closure of issues
Alignment and adherence with ANZ Group strategy, governance policies and processes
What will you bring?

Exposure to and thorough understanding of ANZ risk management framework (or similar experience in implementing group level frameworks)
Knowledge of processes, controls, systems and services relevant to Risk
Working knowledge and/or experience in risk, assurance or controls e.g. Key Control Development and Assessment
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to work in a team and proactively contribute ideas to continuously improve team performance.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in developing useful and insightful risk reporting.
Demonstrated track record of working to deadlines and being efficient and organized in all operations.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Good Communication Skills (Written and Verbal)
Able to manage work as part of a virtual / geographically dispersed team
Strong Microsoft skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
