Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
The Operations Top Day Trade team is responsible for operational processes mainly focused on trade clearing and funding, handling the Listed Derivatives product suite.
Primary duties will include:
On a daily basis performs post trade activities with exchange clearing systems such as SGX, ASX and other Asian Exchanges;
Process position transfers, deliveries/expiries, closeouts, trade allocation, EFP and NLT bookings with Clearing House (SGX and ASX) and 3rd party brokers, including affiliates of StoneX;
Manual trade input, trade correction, specific closeout in GMI/XTP ( Trade transfer, missing trades, etc );
Managing of futures and option trades matching and allocation in vendor middleware, XTP Clearing (formerly Seals) for both the connected and non-connected markets;
Analyse and resolve trade discrepancies and respond to internal stakeholders and clients queries on a timely basis;
Report on end of day breaks, escalate any unresolved breaks to reporting manager;
Provides timely and root cause analysis into any clearing breaks and exceptions identified by the client services and reconciliations team, ensuring non-reoccurrence;
Perform UAT for both software and hardware upgrades, development or technical process changes in coordination with the App support and our Ops colleagues.
Ensure timely submission of all exchange/regulatory reporting requirements, including SGX PCS, ASX DBOR, CME/CFTC/ICE Large Trader Liaising.
Well versed in the various regulatory reporting requirements and ability to resolve breaks and discrepancies facing the Regulators.
Participate in Operations-related projects on adhoc basis and undertake any task as delegated by the Head of Operations and Desk Head.
Qualifications:
To land this role you will need:
2-3 years of relevant experience in Derivatives Operations
A good understanding of Exchange-Traded Derivatives markets, systems and process workflows
Strong knowledge of the key risk areas of the functions and its relevant controls
High standards of accuracy, diligence, and the ability to meet deadlines
A process excellence mindset coupled with initiative
Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholder communication
What makes you stand out:
A good Bachelor's degree or exceptionally strong results in an diploma qualification
Familiarity with wholesale financial markets, products and clearing house mechanisms
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
