About the Unit

Region Africa and Asia produces, sells, distributes and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa region with offices location and operational units in 19 countries in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. We sell a broad range of quality products to all segments in agriculture, produce and sale ammonia and TAN from our Australian unit mainly to industrial customers, reaching a total volume of 5.4 million tons per year. The region employs 1600 employees across the 19 countries. Yara has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concepts to increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.

Responsibilities

The Operations Executive (sale team) is responsible for coordinating efficient supply of Yara products to markets in Asia-Pacific region based on business plan and market developments.
Main tasks include:

  • Assist in execute order placement from buyer.
  • Assist in managing shipping operations, handle shipping documents [including shipping/documents instruction], purchase order to purchase team.
  • Assist to execute & liaising with legal and markets on Master/Spot Sales contracts and/or Addendums.
  • Create, extend, update Cargo description and cargo material code in ERP (SAP)
  • To perform sale price calculation and get price confirmation.
  • Execute full sets of container shipment documents to customer via email/buyco/DHL etc.
  • Communicate & follow up with purchase team on shipment schedule, operational matters, and issue etc
  • Liaise timely and effectively with purchase team, markets, finance, planner, project teams etc on tasks
  • Execute ERP (SAP) transactions such as good receipt, issue debit/credit notes, expenses accrual.
  • Assist in month end closing transaction.
  • Assist to execute expenses cost splits for invoice / Debit Note & Credit note booking to finance.
  • Assist to execute claim handling with markets, purchase team, Yara Insurance limited and product stewardship, transport claim with PPS team.
  • Analyze all operations and forward suggestions.
  • Assists to follow up amount receivable.
  • Other adhoc tasks, if any
Profile
  • Diploma/ Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Able to operate well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to demonstrate high level of trust, integrity and teamwork.
  • Knowledge in handling all kinds of trade related documents, including contract, Letters of Credit, DP/DA shipping documents, insurance documents and familiar with trading operation process.
  • Knowledge on incoterms 2010s & 2020s is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and software required for trading operations.
  • Fluency on written and spoken English & Mandarin, other languages is an asset.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, efficient and well-organized.
  • Quick thinker, able to take responsibilities and take actions to solve issues arising from trade operations with great efficiency.
  • Self-motivated, meticulous, hands on and with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Information

This role is for a duration of 6 months (maternity cover).
