Imperium Commodity Search is recruiting on behalf of the trading arm for one of the biggest Zinc smelters in Korea specialising in base metal exports. Our client is looking to make an addition to their Singapore operations team.
Looking for an individual with industry experience across Base Metal operations
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Deal with shipping and trade documentations (Letter of Credit, Bills of Lading etc)
• Work alongside other desks to ensure transportation of base metal products and delivery expectations are met in accordance with contracts
• Communicate with shipping companies to safeguard all paperwork is correct and operations are working in accordance with plans
• Resolve problems/issues in relation to operations wherever necessary
• Liaise with banks and financial institutions
• Ensure smooth day to day operations of business

Requirements:

• 2-3 years minimum experience in an operational position at a physical trading house
• Expertise across base metals (zinc, lead, copper, aluminium)
• Proven experience dealing with demurrage and other shipping/operational issues
• Knowledge of shipping and trade documents
• Exposure to dealing with shipping companies and banks/financial institutions
• Sound knowledge of base metal trading industry operational procedures
