• Own and execute significant VSM Kaizen Burst action items to reduce cycle times and TAT
• Apply CORE principles to improve operational streams and efficiency
• Support Cell Leader on process control to make adjustments on existing process control parameters.
• Work on process improvement and process optimization
• Identify and develop area of improvements to effectively utilize machine, equipment and workstation to maximize production
• Establish operating procedure/work Instruction/standard work for production activities
• Evaluate current connected factory and make recommendations for improvements and follow up outstanding pending action items with infosys team
• Implement cost reduction measures or projects to reduce the cost of production
• Develop operational best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability
• Liaise with contractors on the manufacturing of new tooling and fixtures.
• Support and participate in the EH&S programs and activities within the company

Qualifications You Must Have

• Degree in Aerospace/Industrial/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Materials Engineering from a recognized institution
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in the aviation industry, preferably in the aero-engine part repair environment

Qualifications We Prefer

• Highly motivated to work in demanding operational/technical environment
• Understanding of workshop practices and repair processes
• Be able to interpret engine manuals and blueprints and work instructions
• Capable with creation and revision of detailed work instructions
• Understanding of process planning, process control, tooling & gauging
• Understanding of Lean concepts, Mistake Proofing, Process Certification
• Be able to work well independently and in a team-oriented environment
• Strong analytical, problem solving and leadership skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Process and detail oriented, including strong interpersonal and prioritization skills
• Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset
