Job Description

-The Opportunity:Adecco is partnering with a Japanese food manufacturing company to hire an Operations Executive to join their business! Reporting directly to the HOD, the successful incumbent will handle sourcing and procurement of food packaging materials, collaborate with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery and accurate production, follow up on feedback and claims, and coordinate logistics.*This role will require the successful incumbent to conduct day trips to Johor Bahru for production oversight and to ensure quality control.

• Work days/hours: Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm

The Job:

• Develop and execute annual sales plans and targets.
• Source and procure food packaging materials, ensuring product specs and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and logistics teams to meet material needs and delivery schedules.
• Handle customer feedback, claims, and follow up on payments.
• Conduct day trips to Johor Bahru for production oversight and ensure quality control.
• Maintain communication with Japan HQ for technical advice and quality issues.
• Present new products, negotiate pricing, and source new suppliers to support business growth.

The Talent:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience working in the trading business.
• Knowledge of trading terms is highly advantageous.
• Possess a Class 3 driving license for supplier visits in Malaysia related to production matters (2-3 times a week using company car).
