The Role
Reporting to Senior Operations Executive, you will provide comprehensive day-to-day operations and coordination of vessels to ensure the smoothness of the Company’s shipping operations.
You will work in an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with frequent opportunities to interact with internal and external stakeholders, regionally.
Role Summary
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operation and coordination of vessels.
- Communicate with vessels, vessel owners/operators and shipping teams of trading counterparties and terminals.
- Manage terminal contracts for assigned trades.
- Manage and resolve claims (cargo claims, container damage, vessel damage) in consultation with the legal team where required.
- Implement cost control; direct and Indirect costs must be thoroughly understood.
- Strategizing trade routes (existing and new).
- Arrange land transport for overseas markets, import and export shipments and stock inventory.
- Bachelor’s degree holder. A diploma holder with relevant work experience may be considered.
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in global container logistics management.
- Strong knowledge in shipping operations, cargo flow, terminal operations, and land operations
- Strong experience in handling bulk vessel shipment and container shipment operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin to communicate with various stakeholders.
