Job Description

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the back-office operations team in our busy Orchard Road office. Ideally, you will already have experience working with oil or other commodity derivatives and be familiar with associated back-office operational procedures and trade exchanges.

Working hours are usually between 2pm and 10pm but occasionally it may be necessary to work at morning or night shift from 9.30am to 6.30pm or 4pm to 2am. Medical insurance and usual benefits provided, with salary dependent on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

- Writing up of deal tickets

- Posting of trades onto Exchanges; ensuring accuracy and proper settlement of trades

- Resolving discrepancies and/or disputes, where necessary

- Recording of deals into deal sheet

- Checking and sending of trade confirmations

- Sending of daily market report

Perform trade-related duties as specified by brokers

Perform other duties as assigned by Operations Manager and Finance Manager

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong attention to detail

Able to multi-task and work effectively in a team or alone

Good communication and people skills

Eager to learn and adapt to circumstances/situations

Excellent Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge

Knowledge of trading functions, a plus
