About the Unit

Region Africa and Asia produces, sells, distributes, and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa region with offices location and operational units in 19 countries in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. We sell a broad range of quality products to all segments in agriculture, produce and sale ammonia and TAN from our Australian unit mainly to industrial customers, reaching a total volume of 6 million tons per year. The region employs 1600 employees across the 19 countries. Yara has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concepts to increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.

Responsibilities

The Operations executive is responsible for coordinating efficient supply of Yara products to markets in Asia-Pacific region based on business plan and market developments.

  • Execute order placements, daily communication with vendor, buyers, forwarder, and shipping line for all cross- trade shipments.
  • Handle and execute container / dry bulk / tanker vessel shipping documentations.
  • Draw up Sales & Purchase contracts, addendum, service agreement and/or relevance agreement.
  • Initiate credit limit risks assessment with commercial and finance.
  • Set up IDD, vendor, service provider, buyer and product new creation on master data governance channel.
  • Coordinate and get approval with trade finance bank on confirmation rate, discounting rate etc.
  • Work closely with vendors, traders, Yara Maritime logistic and customers on shipment communication to ensure smooth operations flow.
  • Purchase and sale price computation for shipments.
  • Process stock in/out, billing, create debit/credit notes, accrue expenses in ERP(SAP)
  • Product and transport claim settlement.
  • Following up on Account Receivable & Payable with Buyer/vendor and Finance Department.
  • Arrange account payable to vendor, service providers and customers.
  • Set up provision in SAP, commission and rebate for month end / year end closing for shipments.
  • Support front office on market requirements and after sale requirements.
  • Negotiation of Letter of Credit, Document Against Payment or Document Against Acceptance.
  • Process order placement via email and/or vendor systems.
  • Electronic filing of communications.
  • Attend to other Adhoc duties, projects as and when assigned
Profile
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Able to work under time pressure.p
  • Diploma/ Degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain.
  • Preferably with min.3 years of relevant work experience cross trade container & dry bulk knowledge.
  • Knowledge in handling shipping documents and incoterms is required.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft office, outlook, adobe
  • Fluency on written and spoken English, other languages is an asset
