1. Create a visual workplace
Create a safe, visual, and efficient workplace (both physical and virtual) where waste and near-misses are
reduced. Critical-to-customer performance gaps/issues are easily seen and addressed.
This is done via: Create an efficient Visual Workplace (physical and virtual) by:
- Creating, training ,and displaying standardized work
- Improving workplaces and systems for employees that remove frustration and the need to do
- Providing visual methods to easily communicate abnormalities as work is being performed
- Making real-time performance metrics visible and accessible
- Using a growth mindset to see failures and setbacks as opportunities rather than sources of
- Monitoring the key processes will ensure focus on the outcomes that will lead to a
- Leading actively through change rather than just supporting it
