Island Concrete (Pte) Ltd (ICPL) is actively seeking highly motivated students in fields of civil & structural engineering who are interested in gaining practical field and office experience in ready mix concrete industry. This will offer the candidate the opportunity to experience the ready-mix concrete industry from inside and gain valuable work experience enhancing their foundation of technical skills and insights to launch their career.

The intern will be tasked to learn the following during his attachment to the operations department:
xefx81xb5 Attachment at concrete batching plants at Sungei kadut and or Jurong Port Plant.
xefx81xb5 Learn the batching process for the production of concrete mixes.
xefx81xb5 Learn the order receiving and dispatching process at the Central Command Centre.
xefx81xb5 Learn the scheduling of orders received from customers for various size orders.
xefx81xb5 Learn estimate truck turn-around time for large volume orders so as to determine the minimum number of trucks for the order.
xefx81xb5 Assist in the daily production sampling requirements in accordance with specified production control system.
xefx81xb5 Assist in the reporting of daily raw materials receipts at the batching plant.
xefx81xb5 Learn stock take and balance of raw materials usage and storage.
Preferred Qualifications
xefx81xb5 Currently in pursuit of Diploma in Civil and/or Structural Engineering or related field
xefx81xb5 Effective communication skills both written & oral. Good organizational skills.
xefx81xb5 Computer skills proficiency (Microsoft Office)
xefx81xb5 Good understanding with Engineering documents (reading/analyzing structural plans, specifications and report writing)
xefx81xb5 Entitle to Annual Leave & Sick Leave for internship period more than 3months.
