Our Knight Frank Capital Advisory Department is looking to recruit a Director to work closely with the UK and Australian businesses to set up a new Debt Advisory service line based in Singapore. The role will consist of two main areas of growth:

1. Establishing debt advisory offering to the Australian market

2. Growing referral business to UK from APAC based clients

The role will work closely with Knight Frank\'s commercial and residential businesses, specifically; specialist sectors (Hotels, Healthcare, Student Property etc.), commercial valuations and capital markets in order to generate business and execute debt advisory mandates.

We are looking for a driven and highly motivated individual to help grow this new business to be a successful and profitable department of the Knight Frank group.

Responsibilities:

Business Generation & Fee Income

• Driving the growth of a new APAC based Debt Advisory service line via deal origination and business development
• Working closely with the Australian capital markets teams, target new and existing clients, offering debt advisory services to procure funding for new acquisitions, development and refinances
• Work with APAC business to identify clients with overseas assets with finance requirements and refer business back to UK team
• Dealing with internal debt queries on a day-to-day basis, as well as internal lead generation
• Leading the growth of a new Debt Advisory team, with the objective of becoming a leading name within the Australian debt advisory market

Deal Execution

• Providing an in-house debt advisory service, predominantly focussing on raising development and acquisition finance for clients with requirements upwards of $30m
• Running a structured process to ensure full coverage of the funding market including domestic, international and non-bank lenders
• Advising clients as to the appropriate debt structure to support their development or acquisition

Client Care

• Create and maintain detailed lender database - Regular liaison and continued relationship building with banks, lenders and other funders
• Build and maintain a professional and highly competent profile in order to obtain introductions from prospective clients
• Have the ability to build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality and trust with prospective and existing clients at all times

Experience required:

Professional Experience Required

• Experience within a similar debt advisory position
• Experience of managing / brokering deals between $30m to $150m
• Strong understanding of key underwriting requirements of real estate lenders
• A good knowledge of the Commercial Real Estate Finance markets (UK, Europe & Australia)
• Self-starter with proven track record of over-achievement in current role

Qualifications / Education Required

• RICS qualified (AssocRICS/MRICS)
