The Operations Manager (Construction) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, project execution, and overall performance of construction projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The manager coordinates between project teams, clients, and senior management to achieve operational efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and supervise all construction operations and project activities.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
Develop and implement operational strategies, project schedules, and cost-control measures.
Monitor progress and performance to ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards.
Manage manpower allocation and equipment utilization efficiently.
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve operational or technical issues promptly.
Review project reports, progress claims, and variations before submission to management or clients.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities for project approvals and progress updates.
Provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to project and site teams.
Prepare operational reports and recommend improvements for process efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction operations or project management.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications.
Sound knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control procedures.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
