Chevron Oronite is accepting online applications for the position of Operations Technician Trainees located on Jurong Island, Singapore through 27 May 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include and are not limited to:

• 
  Follows the New Hire Training program and be qualified as an Operations Technician.
• 
  Ensures safe and reliable operation of the plant, equipment (reactor, filter, heater, boiler, incinerator, tank, pump), pipeline network and jetty facility
• 
  Performs structured rotational duties within the operating Unit to control and monitor operating processes and parameters (DCS Console), maintenance and project activities (Field)
• 
  Maintains safe and reliable operations of the plant equipment and operations within established operating limits, guidelines, and instructions [Daily Operating Instructions (DOI), Shift Supplementary]
• 
  Performs troubleshooting and take corrective actions to resolve operational issues and provide communication and support to the Technical and Maintenance teams (for information and continuity)
• 
  Performs unit start-up, shutdown, turnaround activities at field and DCS console
• 
  Prepares Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) documentation and execute at Field in preparation for repair or maintenance of equipment / systems
• 
  Performs first line maintenance on Operations Led Activities within operational control and applying Job Safety Risk Assessment (JSRA) as and where necessary
• 
  Updates and follows Safe Work Practices (SWP) and operating procedures for safe plant operation
• 
  Performs Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles and responsibilities as required during plant emergency and drills

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Diploma in Engineering or Manufacturing or Science / NITEC / \xe2\x80\x9cO\xe2\x80\x9d Levels
• 
  Strong commitment and desire to ensure operational excellence and meet safety requirements and expectations
• 
  Able to work independently and as part of a team
• 
  Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• 
  Must be prepared to work 12-hour rotating Shifts
• 
  Willing to work on Jurong Island

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations:

Selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
