Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Optical Engineer / Optical Scientist to join our team to develop cutting-edge metasurface optics for next-generation micro display technologies for AR/VR. The role requires expertise in nano optics design and fabrication, optical system design and cross-functional collaboration with global teams.

Responsibility:

Design and simulation of the metasurface optics, diffractive optics and other nano optical structures, especially combining with the micro-display devices (microLED and microOLED) for AR/VR applications Fabrication of the metasurface optics and nano optical structures; define the technical requirements and optimize the fabrication processes with fabrication partners Design and build the test setup for nano optics and the micro-display devices to characterize their performances Work with the team to build company IP portfolio on nano optics

Qualifications:

Master or PhD degree with major in Optics, EE, Physics or related areas More than 3 years of nano optics / metasurface optics design and fabrication experience Familiar with the optical and physics design and simulation tools, such as Zemax, Lumerical FDTD, COMSOL and/or RCWA etc, and have successful experiences of designing, simulating and validating nano optics using those tools Working experience of fabricating the metasurface optical devices in the lab and familiar with nanofabrication process and equipment (EBL, DUV, CVD, dry etch) Experience of building optical test setup for flat optics / metasurface optics; understand the testing of micro-display devices * Experience of programming languages such as Matlab, Python and/or C++ for the purpose of designing and simulating nano optics
