You leverage your technical expertise and cloud engineering skills to support and manage clients' databases and cloud infrastructure, ensuring successful execution, implementation, and migration of databases and applications while maintaining security and performance standards.At Insum, the the Oracle Cloud Solution Engineer is a technical expert and collaborative problem-solver. Through your deep understanding of cloud technologies and database management, you support mission-critical environments and actively contribute to the technological transformation of our clients.Your main missions are:

  • Technical Expertise
  • Master Oracle Database administration and cloud infrastructure management
  • Managed and perform database migrations with Microsoft SQL Server
  • Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Support application and database environments within a 24/7 on-call schedule
  • Design and manage cloud-native solutions and application development
  • Functional & Technical Vision
  • Have designed and implemented cloud infrastructures aligned with business needs and industry standards
  • Have maintained and evolved infrastructure roadmaps and strategies while adapting to changing client requirements
  • Have successfully created and executed migration strategies for workload transitions to cloud platforms
  • Collaboration and Client Support
  • Establish transparent and regular communication with all stakeholders
  • Support clients during their business hours across different time zones (North American, European, or other)
  • Work effectively within the Infrastructure Support team
  • Manage client relationships and understand their technical needs
  • Infrastructure Management
  • Monitor and ensure security of clients' cloud infrastructure
  • Perform database migrations and transformations
  • Implement best practices for cloud technologies
  • Support both on-premises and cloud environments
Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Minimum five (5) years of Oracle Database administration experience, with solid experience in cloud infrastructure and solutions (OCI, AWS, and/or Azure). Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certification or equivalent is an asset.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with Oracle solutions (APEX, Forms/Reports, EBS, WebLogic) and technologies (Docker, Tomcat). Knowledge of cloud-native concepts and market trends is essential.
  • Collaboration and Client Focus: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and clients at all levels.
  • Independence and Drive: Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage ambiguous situations, and thrive in a dynamic, growing environment. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach are essential.
  • Organization and Precision: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills in English to effectively communicate with global clients and partners. Strong oral and written communication skills in French skills is considered a major asset.
