We put our values and our mission front and centre with everything we do, if you want to know more, read about our team and values on our page.About the roleWe are looking for an Origination Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping our team strategy from sourcing and onboarding of new high-quality carbon projects, you will also be responsible for conducting due diligence screenings working with other teams across Abatable.You will engage with stakeholders, analyse market opportunities and drive the overall origination strategy to maximise commercial outcomes for the company.What you will be doing

• Collaborate with the Head of Origination & Structuring and internal commercial teams to understand and translate client requirements to the developer and supplier network, and ensure effective delivery of projects
• Support client conversations to understand their needs and design investment portfolios and carbon projects in the VCM
• Support the commercial team with high-quality reports and questions about projects and regulatory frameworks impacting projects
• Facilitate the interaction between developers, investors, existing and prospective customers, and the internal teams at Abatable
• Conduct due diligence on project development opportunities, coordinating legal, commercial and operational analysis
• Manage all contracting negotiations and deal structuring, including travel to client engagements and project site visits
• Manage preparation and presentation of project opportunities in client\xe2\x80\x99s materials
• Become Abatable\'s brand ambassador in industry-related events and conferences to proactively expand the existing project partner network
• Responsible for managing partnerships with project owners, investors and suppliers, focused on supporting them with distribution and market intelligence services

Who we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in climate finance, investment advisory and/or environmental markets trading
• Professional with a network of project owners and investors in the impact and climate space. Focus on nature-based and CDR-related ecosystems is a plus
• Experience with project development under Verra, Gold Standard, CDM and other emerging standards is preferred
• Previous experience with structuring transactions in the voluntary carbon markets and/or other environmental markets instruments is required
